Exeter Science Park Seeks New Board Members
Two business people with a passion for science, technology and innovation are being sought to drive forward ambitious plans for the future of Exeter Science Park in key roles as non-executive directors.
Experience of leading business, a strong financial knowledge and an understanding of property development and management are needed.
The board member roles are three-year, unpaid posts providing the opportunity to play an influential part in one of the most exciting projects in the South West and requiring a commitment of approximately one to two days per month.
Established in 2013, Exeter Science Park aims to drive a knowledge-based economy in the South West, enabling fast growth through specialist support and opportunities for collaboration among like-minded businesses.
The Exeter Science Park board was established to guide the Park’s strategy and constructively challenge and contribute to a business plan, enabling the Park and its tenants to thrive.
Sir William Wakeham, Chair of the Board of Directors said:
“We’re looking for two businesspeople who can become ambassadors for the Park; people with a passion for business, innovative ideas for the future of the Park and sound property, financial and business management knowledge.
“The Park is a forward-thinking organisation with ambitious plans for growth and is known as the region’s hub for dynamic, fast-growth science and technology-based businesses and entrepreneurs, so this is an exciting time to join the team.”
Interested applicants should send their CV with a cover letter to email@example.com by Friday 29th September 2017. For further information about the role, please contact the same email address or call 01884 841539.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an assessment day in October and the two successful applicants can expect to hear back in November.
