Grow, Signs Express and Nettl to Back Celebration of Best Workspaces
The countdown for the new Space Awards celebrating the best workspaces and work-initiatives in and around Exeter is underway.
Today Grow Exeter Magazine have been confirmed as the Media Partner for the awards and sponsor of Best Sustainable Space Award, whilst Exeter-based Signs Express have been announced as Sponsor of the Coolest Office Award and Nettl of Exeter as the Print Partner and Sponsor of the Best Workspace Award.
Part of the Future of the Workplace initiative, the awards will act as a showcase, helping businesses learn from each other by highlighting approaches and benefits of developing great workspaces and employee initiatives.
By encouraging innovation and best practice, another hope is that more people will be attracted to work for Exeter-based organisations and the city will establish a reputation for great workspaces.
Joff Alexander-Frye, Group Editor-in-Chief of Grow Magazine comments:
“Grow Exeter Magazine is delighted to be the Media Sponsor for the inaugural Space Awards. As the leading positive media movement in the city, it made complete sense for us to champion this celebrative awards program and we look forward to working with Tim to make the awards a great success. We are also excited to sponsor the Sustainable Space Award, in line with our ongoing #GrowGreen campaign, aiming to make Exeter greener, one business at a time.”
Nick Baxter-Sibley, Director of Signs Express said:
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring these awards – we encounter a huge range of workplaces as part of our daily business life and it is clear that a well thought through & designed environment can have an enormously positive impact on how it feels to work somewhere. Encouraging companies to excel in what they provide for workspace is a great initiative.”
Supported by Exeter City Council and Exeter Chamber of Commerce, the Future of the Workplace initiative has already seen businesses gather at Exeter Science Park to discuss opportunities, challenges and ways of sharing best practice, including through these new awards.
Tim Wadsworth, of Exeter-based office transformation specialists Space, who are helping to run the awards, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Grow, Signs Express and Nettl onboard as sponsors of the Space Awards. These organisations all share our belief in celebrating fantastic workplaces across Exeter. We have received some brilliant award entries so far and with still a month to go we are looking forward to receiving lots more.”
According to The Centre for Cities Outlook 2018 report, Exeter saw an increase of 3,000 jobs last year and has the 5th lowest unemployment rate of any city in the UK.
