Tech entrepreneur chooses Exeter Science Park to launch innovative care home software company

A tech entrepreneur from Exeter has developed an innovative dashboard for care home owners to record important information and prove they are achieving assessment standards, subsequently facilitating improved quality of care and increasing profitability. Twenty years’ experience in IT and almost a decade’s experience in the care home sector provided the foundation for Barnaby Griffith’s business venture, Care Systems & Innovation (CSI). Mr Griffith chose Exeter Science Park to launch his new business because of its networking and investment opportunities, as well as its close proximity to the M5. Recognising the pressures facing care home owners as well as the […]

India Meets ….. Singer/Songwriter Joe Brooks

Written by India Nye, Photography by Olly Woodburn Grow is about expanding; about learning and facing new challenges. As a young writer finding my way in the world of publishing, I’m certainly not exempt from that. So, when I found myself faced with an exciting new challenge myself, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.   My first two assignments have focused on young people starting their own businesses; young entrepreneurs taking on the world. I was interviewing people, around my age, who were just as nervous as I was. But, this time around, I was to interview a guy who had a […]

This contract will […]

The Adventures of Alan ‘Classic Commuter’ – Part.1

Written by Alan Hancock, Photography by Lucy Davies Picture the scene. I’m running. I’ve got seven minutes before the train departs. It’s going to go down to the wire. “I’ll just reply to these e-mails and then I’ll be off” is a phrase my brain parrots to me mockingly. I’m seriously at risk of missing Friday night fajitas. I’m striding out a respectable speed. As I approach the station I clock another besuited commuter clad in North face puffer jacket, a nice weather resistant rucksack, Cuban heels rapidly clip clopping and an aerodynamic baldness that makes me want to shave […]
