Flybe Maintains Position as Most Punctual UK-Based Airline

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has again been recognised as the most punctual UK-based airline in the latest report on ‘Best and Worst Airlines’ issued by leading consumer watchdog Which? (Jan 2018). The carrier once again tops for on-time performance all other UK-based airlines including British Airways, easyJet, Jet2 and Thomas Cook. FLYBE DISAPPOINTMENT THAT ‘DAMAGING’ AIR PASSENGER DUTY NOT LOWERED IN BUDGET Flybe budget response: Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is disappointed that the Chancellor has once again missed the opportunity to lower Air Passenger Duty. The UK’s APD is among the highest in the world and it is a highly damaging tax which penalises domestic travellers. Reducing APD and supporting domestic aviation would have been in line with the Government’s stated aim of spreading economic growth more evenly across the UK – this is sadly another missed opportunity to act.
